International language center in Málaga

Hablandis is an international language center in Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga, Spain), running since 2011. We teach Spanish to people from all over the world and other languages (English, German, French and Italian) to people who live here, we design tailor-made study trips for school groups, and we train teachers of Spanish and of English.

Yes. Hablandis is the current name of La Playa Escuela de Español and La Playa Idiomas, the school we opened in 2011 in Rincón de la Victoria. We changed our name, but we are the same team, in the same school, facing the same beach.

Hablandis is at Paseo de las Palmeras 1, 29720 Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga), facing the sea. We are the only Spanish school in Spain located right on the beach. Rincón is a real Mediterranean town, off the tourist circuit: here Spanish is the language of the street, the market and the beach bar.

Yes. Hablandis is a center accredited by the Instituto Cervantes, holds ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) certifications, is an Erasmus+ provider and is validated by Trinity College London to deliver the CertTESOL, the initial qualification for teachers of English.

Yes. Hablandis is an official exam center for the DELE, the SIELE and the CCSE (the test of constitutional and sociocultural knowledge of Spain, required to apply for Spanish citizenship). We are also an exam center for Trinity College London, both for its GESE spoken English exams and for the CertTESOL for teachers. And we run preparation courses for all of them.

Spanish for international students, as an intensive, semi-intensive, combined or Bildungsurlaub course, private lessons or a family course. For people living in the area, year-long English, German, French and Italian courses for children, teenagers and adults, and intensive Cambridge exam preparation.

Classes usually have an average of 8 students, with a maximum of 12. In low season groups are usually smaller, so the teacher's attention is even more personal.

Intensive and semi-intensive courses start every Monday, except on public holidays and from December 21 to January 6, when the school closes for Christmas. You can start even if you are the only student at your level: in that case, for as long as that lasts, half of your hours will be private lessons. You can also join on another day of the week, although it's best to arrive on Monday so you don't miss the start.

Yes. At the end of the course you receive a certificate with your level, the content covered and your results (attendance and participation, work and progress, written test and oral test). To get it, you need to attend 75% of the classes and pass the final test with at least 60%.

Yes. With each school we design a tailor-made program, Cultural Adventure in Spain, combining language and culture workshops with activities and excursions to cities such as Granada, Seville or Córdoba. Students stay with selected host families or in a hotel, no more than a 15-minute walk from the school. In the last year we welcomed more than 8,000 students from 15 countries. We also run Erasmus+ courses.

Yes. For teachers of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE) we have an initial training course and a further training course in Málaga, with specialists in teaching methodology, pedagogy, business, marketing and psychology. For teachers of English, we deliver the Trinity CertTESOL.

It's a bilingual camp for children and teenagers aged 4 to 16: Spanish for international participants and English for local ones, combined with outdoor activities, sports and workshops. The mix of children from abroad and from the area is part of the experience. Host family accommodation is available.

No. You can book just the course and choose your own accommodation. If you like, we'll advise you on the options in the area.

To book, you pay 25% of the total in advance, by bank transfer or PayPal. The rest is paid before the course or on the first day (card, cash, bank transfer or PayPal). Spanish courses also carry a one-off enrollment fee of €45, which covers the placement test, course materials and the final certificate.
